“Your faith will grow only in the measure that you give it away.”
~Father Robert Barron.
Our Small Groups are truly that – small, intimate groups in which you will have the opportunity to get to know one another, talk, laugh, share and pray together. Each group has a leader and together, the group will decide how small (or large) you will be. We suggest no more than 6-8 adults per small group. Some groups will be younger adults who are single and looking to connect with other singles, some may be older singles looking to connect with older singles, married couples with no children, some are adults with children and groups may allow children to come, some groups are older adults who prefer a more quiet setting. Whatever your choice, we will help find a group that’s right for you! Don’t see one you’re interested in? Fill out your information being sure to tell us what type of group you’re looking for and we’ll find one that’s right for you!
This small group of adults will be meeting weekly for fellowship, study and prayer to develop an intimate relationship with the Holy Spirit.
We are a group of adults seeking engaging conversation and fellowship, while learning about our wonderful Catholic faith from topics on the FORMED website. Beginning with the Symbolon Series, “Living the Faith”, we will meet Monday evenings in the Ministry Center for 10 episodes. Please join us!
God’s Embrace is a small group of adults learning to become better disciples of Jesus Christ. We seek to deepen our knowledge and appreciation of the Catholic faith leading to a deeper, personal relationship with the Blessed Trinity. This is achieved through an encouragement of daily prayer and by studying both the Old and New Testaments, the Catechism of the Catholic church and contemplative traditions of the great Monastic Orders. We will meet every other Wednesday evening in the Ministry Center Conference Room. Each program will last 12 weeks, beginning on September 18th.
Our Lady’s Ladies is open to women who want fellowship with other women. Currently, the group consists of all moms with young and school-aged children from various Catholic parishes in the area. We share highs, lows and prayer requests each meeting along with discussing a faith-based book (ranging from learning about Saints, theology, discipline, strengthening marriages, etc.). We typically meeting every 2nd and 4th Thursday morning during the school year. We meet in the Church nursery so the children can play in the same room while the moms visit. During the summer, the group meets weekly for play dates at parks and beaches, plus a monthly Mom’s Night out throughout the year.
Mother’s of Mercy group focuses on studying the Bible through watching videos independently and then discussing the videos as a group. We typically select a Bible Study series on the FORMED.org website/app, but also invest in various other video studies with workbooks (depending on the groups/recommendations/votes). We meet every Friday morning during the school year after the all-school Mass. Children are welcome and we meet in the Church Nursery. We often do a study through the summer, too, but the schedule is more flexible. We meet for play dates throughout the summer, also. The group consists of moms with young and school-aged children. It’s a very laid back group of moms, so sometimes the discussions go off topic, but it’s typically always productive regardless of the discussion.
This is an informal group of middle-aged to older adults (50 and over) that will meet on the first and third Saturday mornings of each month. Initially, the group will get to know each other through prayer and discussion. We’ll decide as a group what topics we will discuss regarding our Catholic faith: deeper prayer life, religious books, Bible study or other study to name just a few.
Once a month, families meet with other families for a potluck, prayer, scripture reading and discussion. You can share victories, challenges, affirmations and dialogue to engage the whole family. Effect evangelization stars with the family!
Bibles & Brews is a small group open to men who want to experience fellowship with other men while learning about the faith through Christian literature. From the Bible to G.K. Chesterton to Fr. Larry Richards, we select a book that interest the group and then meet once or twice per month to discuss what we have read and share what is going on in our lives. Meeting locations alternate between the group members’ homes and the parish. Every other meeting includes beer and snacks. Most of the group members are in their 30s and 40s, but we are open to anyone who would like to join.
