Due to the predicted impacts of the winter storm and the hazardous conditions that are expected, we feel it’s in the best interest and safety of all to cancel tonight’s Mass.

Ash Wednesday is not a solemnity of the Lord. Participation is Mass is not obligatory like a Holy Day of obligation is. While we know this is traditionally the way many people start their Lenten journey with the reminder of ashes on their foreheads, you can still make this Lent meaningful with prayer, fasting and almsgiving without receiving ashes.
