Middle School
Middle school Faith Formation at Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary provides a safe, fun place for youth to find solid Catholic community, to get answers to their questions about faith and, most importantly, to experience Jesus in a profound and personal way. Our resources speak to the physical, psychological, cognitive, relational, and spiritual maturation of middle school youth.
Middle School Formation Programs
6th & 7th Grade
6th and 7th grade Faith Formation sessions are Wednesdays from 5:30 – 7:00pm.
You may choose either Wednesday class session or the Junior High Youth Group Sunday nights. If you choose only Youth Group, the retreats are an essential part of Faith Formation and are required. We encourage you to choose BOTH (Wednesday and Youth Group) as the content and focus is different and both have the goal of producing strong Catholic youth.
8th Grade
Confirmation normally takes place in the 8th grade. Required weekly attendance in the 7th and 8th grade Faith Formation Classes is part of the preparation process. If you’re in high school and have not yet been confirmed, call Cheryl at 361-5126 x257.
8th Grade Confirmation Classes take place Sundays from 6:30 – 8:00pm in the Ministry Center.
The Edge
The Edge is our Junior High Youth Group. Every Sunday we dive into a new topic that’s important to teens. Things that happen in school, things that happen in society – and how do we fit that all in our Christian lives? We have some nights that we focus on service and some that are just plain social-fun nights! We have a lot of fun while learning about our faith, guaranteed! We hope to see you there and know that friends are always welcome! We meet Sundays from 6:30 – 8:00pm in the Church.
